Merger of NICHE and ChiHealth

When I first received a call for a meeting with one of the founders of ChiHealth, I agreed half-heartedly thinking that this would be yet another health promotion gimmick. I was pleasantly surprised to see a professional nutritionist accompanying the founder. Introductions done, cards exchanged, we sat down to go through a systematic presentation on nutrition consultation, which was being offered online to consumers. I sat through it with a good deal of curiosity and interest. Next came the request to get associated with the company for professional consultation. My first reply was negative because I couldn't think of adding on more work to the already existing work-load of running my nutrition consulting firm, NICHE and other professional commitments. After a couple of meetings with the founders of both companies, the scene changed completely. In a matter of few days, NICHE had been acquired by ChiHealth and I was appointed Director-Wellness on the board. From October 2008, we were officially working together. It was a swift but smooth change for my team and me.

Coincidentally, both ChiHealth and NICHE have the same goals - spreading awareness on preventive healthcare, offering nutrition and healthcare consulting to corporate firms, making preventive healthcare easily accessible through a combination of offline and online consulting for the employees, increasing user engagement in the companies, basically moving towards wellness rather than illness. So, it made better sense to join hands and work together for both ChiHealth and NICHE.

With 2 pioneers coming together, the company profile and the consultation benefits can only get more professional and better for the clients and the consumers. Moving forward, there are many ideas and plans. Watch this blog and you'll learn more about health and our activities.
